Notes: In 1911 at age 6, Grace was living at home in Forest, Ontario, with her parents and siblings. Grace moved west to Richdale, Alberta, in 1913 and then to Calgary in 1915 to complete her education.

She worked at Wilkinson Electric Company as a stenographer and it was there she met Clarence Elder, a General Electric salesman. They were married in 1928 and for sixty-two years lived happily in the home they built. They then moved together to Forest Grove Care Centre.

Grace was a long-time member of the Wesley United Church prior to transferring her membership to the Knox Presbyterian Church. She passed away peacefully at the age of 99 years.
