Notes:  Birthdate conflict!  Walter's 1918 draft registration and a family history both give his birth year as 1881.  However, Walter's 1911 marriage license and his death records indicate that he was born in 1882.  The 1900 Census should clarify this conflict; however, Walter was not found in that census. He was from Lodi, California, and 29 years old when he married in 1911 and had the photograph at the right taken. In 1918 he was described as short with a medium build, brown eyes, and brown hair.
