Notes:  Hiram Jackson, 54, and Mary Jane Osborn, 36, were married 29 Aug 1872 in Wells County, Indiana.  This was the second marriage for Hiram, whose first wife had died earlier in that year.  In the 1880 U.S. census, Hiram Jackson, 62, a farmer, and Mary J., 43, were living in Liberty Twp., Wells County.  The children were George W. , 18, from Hiram's first marriage, and Belle C., 3.  Their second daughter had died when 13 months old.  Their third daughter, M.A., died as an infant in 1882.

In the 1900 U.S. census, Hiram Jackson, 82, and Mary J., 63, were still on their farm in Liberty Twp., Wells County.  Their daughter Cora Bell was living nearby with her husband Frank Gerwig, and two grandchildren.

Hiram Jackson died 4 Aug 1908, and was buried in the McFarren Cemetery, Bluffton, Wells, Indiana.
