Notes: Their granddaughter Catherine reported that "the Williams family
did not approve of Emma's marriage to Lawrence; we chuckle about
that because he was such a dignified, steady, and polite old man.
He did like horses, and perhaps he raced them or perhaps he went
to the wrong Presbyterian church; we never did find out why Emma's
family did not like him."
Lawrence and Emma left Pittsburgh in about 1903 and moved to
Greenville, Pennsylvania. |
