Notes: In the 1920 U.S. census, Krist Mason and his wife Anna Neilsen were living at
939 E. 2nd Street, Jamestown Ward 5, Chautauqua, New York. Both had been
born in Denmark. Krist had immigrated to the United States in 1904,
and became a naturalizaed citizen in 1912. Anna had immigrated in 1906, also
becoming a naturalized citizen. Kris was the
proprietor of a grocery store, working on his own account. They had two
sons. Haus Mason was born circa 1905, and Carl T. Mason was born in
1906.
In the 1925 New York State census, the family was living at 100 Barrows Street,
Jameston Ward 4. Haus was now identified as Chilton, and Carl as Harold T.
In the 1930 U.S. census, Carl is identified as C. Theodore, now age 14. Haus or
Chilton does not appear. In the 1940 U.S. census, Theodore has completed 4 years of
college, and his father is still running the grocery store. |
