Notes:  According to family sources, Joel Sixtus Eagar was born 9 Feb 1858 in Manti, Sanpete, Utah to John Eagar and Sariah Anna Johnson.  He married Lucy Jane Dewitt on 14 Feb 1879, and they had seven children.  Nancy Alice Nutter Stanworth was born 25 Jun 1863 in Santa Clara, Washington, Utah to Samuel Stanworth and Nancy Alice Nutter.  She married John Maurice Hinton on 25 Nov 1885, and they had four boys.  John died in 1891.

Joel Sixtus Eagar and Nancy Alice Nutter Stanworth were married 3 Jul 1894 in St. George, Washington, Utah.  In the 1900 U.S. census, J.S. Eagar, 42, and Nancy Eager, 37, were living in Sulphur Valley, Cochise, Arizona.  Joel was a farmer, and they owned the farm.  Living with them were her children from her first marriage, eroneously given the surname Eagar, rather than Hinton by the census taker.  These were J. Samuel, 13, born Nov 1886, Geo. L., 12, born in May 1887, Wm., 11, born in Oct 1888, and Morris, 10, born in Oct 1889..  All had attended school for nine months, and all had been born in Utah.

Their own children were Nancy L., 5, born in Jun 1895, Annie, 4, born in Jun 1896, Thos., 2, born in Apr 1898, and Elizabeth, 10 months, born in Aug 1899.  The older two had been born in Utah, and the younger two in Arizona.

The family is not found in the 1910 U.S. census records as they were living in Mexico.  According to family sources, three children were born in Colonia Morelos, Sonora, Mexico, a Mormon colony.  These were Morelos Eagar, born Jul 1901, Hazel, born Dec 1902, and Roxey, born Jan 1905, and died in Sep 1905.

Joel Sixtus Eagar According to family sources, Joel married again to Emily Jane Lee in 1902 in Mexico.  The family was forced out of Mexico in 1912.  Because of polygamy, Nancy and Joel went their separate ways.  Joel died 13 Jul 1947 in Hurricane, Washington, Utah.  He is buried in the Hurricane City Cemetery, Hurricane, Utah.
