Notes:  Hans Augustinus Miller was born 2 Jan 1900, probably in Perth Amboy, Middlesex, New Jersey.  His parents were Hans and Kathrine Miller, and he had an older sister, Nellie born in 1898.  In the 1900 U.S. census, the family was living at 192 Hall Street, Perth Amboy.  His father was a milkman.  His sister Dorothy was born in 1902.
In the 1910 U.S. census, the family was living at 401 Hall Street, Perth Amboy.  Hans' cousin Alfred Peter Miller was living with them, delivering milk for his uncle.  In the 1920 U.S. census, the family was still at 401 Hall Street.  Hans was working for a terra cotta company as a bookkeeper.  His older sister Nellia was not working, but his younger sister Dorothy was a stenographer for a terra cotta company.

A World War I Draft Registration Card shows that a Hans Allen Miller was registered on 9 Sep 1918 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.  His residence was Perth Amboy, age given was 19, and his birthdate was given as 2 Jan 1899.  This is the same date, but one year earlier then the cemetery record for Hans.  He was reported to be a field auditor, working for the USA at the Edgewood Arsenal in Hartford, Maryland.  His nearest relative was his father Hans N. Miller in Perth Amboy.  He was described as tall, of slender build, with blue eyes and brown hair.  This is probably Hans Augustinus Miller.

Hans married Lilly Anderson on Sep 18 1921 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.  They had two daughters, one born about 1923 and the other about 1927.  In the 1930 U.S. census, Hans, Lilly, and their daughters were living at 37 Ford Avenue, Woodbridge Twp., New Jersey.  Hans was a foreman and general superintendant for the Chesebrough Mfg. Co., a vasaline manufacturing company.  In the 1940 U.S. census, Hans was listed as aa shipping foreman, and had earned $2,700. in 1939.

Hans' wife Lilly died in 1955, and Hans died 25 Apr 1977.  Hans' last residence was in Edison, Middlesex, New Jersey, and his last Social Security benefit was paid to a Fords, Middlesex, New Jersey address.  Both Hans and Lilly are buried inAlpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
