Notes:  Larry George Olson was born 8 Jul 1911 in Los Angeles, California.  His parents were George Olson and Ida Green.  He had an older brother Angus, and a twin brother Raymond.  Angus died early of polio, and his parents divorced.  His father George remarried about 1918.  In the 1920 U.S. census, Larry and Raymond were living with their mother in Miami, Arizona.  Ida was a barber and took in boarders.
In the 1930 U.S. census, the family was living in El Centro, California.  Ida was working as a barber in a barber shop, and Larry and Raymond, now 19 years old, were working in the packing sheds.  Ida's mother, Victoria Green, was living with the family, as well as one boarder. Larry married June Virginia Markward on 25 Mar 1934 in Alhambra, Los Angeles, California.  Their marriage license had been taken out in Los Angeles County on 8 Mar 1934.  They had a daughter and a son.  In 1937, Larry was working as a millman for the Alhambra Sash & Door Co., which was owned by his cousin Donald Olson.  The family was living in Los Angeles.  By 1938, the family was living in their long time family residence at 2109 Orange Grove Avenue, Alhambra.  Larry was registered to vote as a Republican. In the 1940 U.S. census, the family was living at the Orange Grove address.  Larry had completed 3 years of highschool, and had earned $1,800. in the prior year.  He was listed as a salesman for a wholesale lumber company.  This was the Olson Lumber Company, owned by his uncle Frank Olson.  In the Alhambra City Directory,1943, Larry was also working as a window glazier for the company.  In 1964, he was the manager of Allied Glass & Metal, Inc. By 1993, Larry was living in retirement in Murietta, California.  His brother Raymond had also retired in that area.  In 1994, Larry attended the 50th Wedding anniversary party of his cousin Donald and his wife Frances in Arcadia, California.  He is shown with his cousins in the photograph to the left.  Larry died 1 Jul 2000, probably in Murrieta, California, which was his last residence.  He is buried in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, California.
