Notes:  Charles Fredrick Fishback was born in Jan 1889, probably in Alhambra, California.  He was the oldest of nine children of Charles Fishback and Rachael Hildebrand.  In the 1900 U.S. census, he was living with his family at 28 South Electric Avenue, Alhambra.  He had four younger sisters, namely Minnie, Harriett, Martha, and Francis.  His father Henry listed himself as a miner.  By the 1910 U.S. census, Henry, Adele, and Almira had been added to the family.  Charles was a carpenter, and his father was also listed as a carpenter.  A last brother, Albert, was born in 1910.

Charles married Edith Crosman Heron on 17 Jan 1914 in Santa Ana, Orange, California.  Edith had a son James Herron, born in 1909, from a previous marriage.  In 1917 when Charles registered for the World War draft, they were living at 141 W. Avenue 34, Los Angeles.  Charles was a fireman for the City of Los Angeles.  He was described as tall and slender, with blue eyes and dark brown hair.  They are found in the 1920 U.S. Census and in the 1922 Index to Register of Voters, registered as Republicans.

Charles died in 1923.  His sister Francis had died in 1915, and both are buried in the San Gabriel Cemetery, San Gabriel, California.
