Notes:  George Lawson Francis was born 17 Mar 1876 in Somersworth, Strafford, New Hampshire.  He married Ella May Jacobus about 1903.  By the 1910 U.S. census, George and Ella had 3 children, Ida L., age 4, Gladys M., 2, and George E., 4 months.  The family was living at 182 Kimberly Avenue in New Haven Ward 4, New Haven, Connecticut.  George was a locomotive engineer working for the railroad.

In the 1920 U.S. census, George and Ella were living on Main Street in Dehli Village, Dehli Twp., Delaware, New York, with their three children.  Also living with them was his father-in-law, James M. Jacobus.  George died 12 Sep 1929.
