Notes:  George Lawson Francis and Ella May Jacobus were probably married about 1903, perhaps in New Jersey.  In the 1910 U.S. census, they had three children, Ida L., age 4, Gladys M., 2, and George E., 4 months.  The family lived in New Haven Ward 4, New Haven, Connecticut.  George was a locomotive engineer.

In the 1920 U.S. census, the Francis family was living on Main Street, in Delhi Village, Delhi Twp., Delaware, New York.  Living with them was Ella's father, James M. Jacobus.  George died 12 Sep 1929.

In the 1930 U.S. census, Ella and the three children, now grown, were living in Somerville, Somerset, New Jersey.  Ella died 15 Feb 1875 at the age of 84.  She is buried with her parents and sister in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, Essex, New Jersey.
