in New Haven, Ward 4, New Haven, Connecticut. Their three children were Ida L., 4, Gladys M., 2,
and George E., 4 months. George was a railroad locomotive engineer. They owned their home
with a mortgage.
In the 1920 U.S. census, George L. Francis, 44, and Ella M., 44, were living on Main St., in the
Delhi Village of the Delhi Twp. of Delaware County, New York. Their childre were Ida L., 13,
Gladys M., 12, and George E., 10. Living with the family was her father,
James W. Jacobus, 74, a truck chauffeur. Their home was rented, and no employment was listed
for George.
In the 1928 Somerville, New Jersey City Directory, Geo. L. and Ella M. Francis, and daughter Ida,
were listed at 77 N. Gaston av. George was a mechanic, Ella a bookkeeper, and Ida was
a teacher.
George Lawson Francis, 53, died 6 Oct 1928 in Somerville,Somerset, New Jersey, and was
buried in the New Cemetery, Somerville, Somerset, New Jersey. |
