Notes:  Genevieve Annastacia Pella was born 28 Feb 1921 in Addel Twp., Griggs, North Dakota.  Her parents were Felix Pella, Jr., and Mary Francis Paintner.  In the 1925 North Dakota State census, the family was living in Helena Twp., Griggs, North Dakota.  It included her father, Felix, 35, mother Mary, 32, brother Bernard, 9, and Genevieve, 4.

In the 1930 U.S. census, the family was living in Clearfield Twp., Griggs, North Dakota.  The family included Felix, 39, born in Minnesota, Mary, 36, North Dakota, and children, all born in North Dakota, were Bernard, 14, Genevieve, 9, and Elane 1.  Felix was a general farmer, they were renting, and had a radio.

In the 1940 U.S. census, the family was living in Ball Hill Twp., Griggs, North Dakota.  It included Felix, 50, a farmer, his wife Mary, 47, Genevieve, 19, and Elaine, 11.  The family was living on the same farm in 1935.  Felix and Mary had 8th grade educations, Genevieve, 4 years of high school, and Elaine, 6th grade.

Genevieve married Ronald Henry Detwiller on 30 May 1942 in Jessie, Griggs, North Dakota.  The couple had four children and made their home in Cooperstown, Griggs, North Dakota.  Ronald was a welder, eventually working for the Melroe Division of Clark Equipment Company.  They were members of the St. George Catholic Church in Cooperstown.

Ronald died in 1970 in Fargo, North Dakota.  In 1998, Genevieve was living at 1206 Foster Ave. NE, Cooperstown.  She died 13 Jul 1998 in Cooperstown.  They are buried together in the St. George Catholic Cemetery, Cooperstown, North Dakota.
