Notes:  James Gavin Dunlop was born about 1830 in Paisley, Scotland.  When he immigrated to Canada is unknown.  He married Hannah Detwiller on 30 Dec 1874.  They had one unnamed infant girl who died 17 Jun 1977.  Hannah died shortly thereafter on 4 Jul 1877. In 1891, James is found living in Downie Twp., Perth South, Ontario.  He was a farmer.  Living with him was John Dunlop, age 40, who was probably a cousin.  James died 6 Aug 1897, and is buried in the Avonbank Presbyterian Cemetery along with his wife and daughter.  John Dunlop, who died in 1930, is also buried in the same plot.
