Notes: Phyllis Mildred Pratt was born 27 Feb 1913 in Juanita, Foster, North Dakota. She was the daughter of George William Burk and Emma Bonderud. She had a brother, Maynard Russell, born 25 Sep 1914. In the 1920 U.S. census, the family was living in Dewey Twp., Foster, North Dakota. Her father George was unemployed. He died 8 Nov 1922, when Phyllis was 9.

In the 1925 North Dakota State census, Emma, 36, was living with her two children, Phyllis M., 12, and Maynard, 10 in the small community of Juanita, Foster County. In the 1930 U.S. census, the family was living in the Florance Twp., Foster County. Phyllis' mother Emma was a boarding housekeeper. She died 5 Jan 1935, when Phyllis was not quite 22.

Phyllis married Kenneth Raymond Pratt on 10 Nov 1935 in Carrington, Foster, North Dakota. In the 1940 U.S. census, Mildred and Kenneth were living in Grand Forks, Grand Forks, North Dakota. Their son Michael S. Pratt was 3 years. Phyllis had had 1 year of college. Kenneth was a printer with W-R Printing Company. Living with the family was her brother, Maynard R. Burke.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy from 5 Apr 1945 to 2 Mar 1946. It is not known where Phyllis and Kenneth were living when their second child was born, but by 1957, they were living in Colorado, where their last two children were born. Kenneth died in 1982. Phyllis died 30 Jun 2000 in Littleton, Arapahoe, Colorado. Their burial place is unknown.
