Notes:  Edgar Sim Wilson was born 1 Jan 1884 in Elma Twp., Perth, Ontario.  His parents were James Craig Wilson, born in Scotland, and Martha Beatty, who was of Irish descent but born in Ontario.  His father was a lumber agent or dealer.  His sister, Olive Ethel was born 2 Jul 1886, and his brother James Wilferd Craig was born 17 Jul 1889.  In the 1891 Canada census, the family was living in the Elma Twp., and his father was a storekeeper.  The family listed themselves as Presbyterian.

In the 1901 Canada census, Edgar and his family were listed as living in Logan Twp., Perth County.  His father was farming.  By the 1911 Canada census, Edgar had become a bookeeper.  His brother James was a school teacher in the public schools, and his father was a merchant in a retail store.

Edgar married Alberta (Bert) on 26 Dec 1918, in Monkton.  They had two daughters.  They are not found in the 1921 Canada census.  Edgar was a general merchant in Monkton for over 50 years.  He died 16 Mar 1956, after a short illness.  A private service was held at his home, followed by a public service in Monkton United Church.  Temporary entombment was made in the Elma Centre mausoleum.  His wife Alberta died in 1968.  Both are buried in the Knox Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mitchell, Perth, Ontario.
