Notes:  According to family records, Norbert John Camden (Bert) was born 20 Aug 1913 in Benson, Swift, Minnesota.  His parents were Edward J. Camden and Mary L.  He had a younger brother Michael, born about 1915.  On 8 Jul 1916, Bert crossed from the United States into Canada at North Portal, Saskatchewan, with his parents and brother.

In the 1920 U.S. census, the family was living at 420 5th Ave. West in Williston, Williams, North Dakota.  Edward Camden was a laborer, working for the railroad.  Norbert married Eloise Detwiller on 17 Jul 1937, before the Justice of the Peace in Duwamish, King, Washington.

In the Washington, City Directory, 1938 and 1939, Eloise and Bert were listed at 434 Warren Avenue, Seattle.  Bert was a carpenter.  In the Washington, City Directory, 1940, Bert and Eloise were living at 11201 10th Avenue SW, Seattle.  Bert is listed as a serviceman for the Dictaphone Corp.  The 1940 U.S. census lists Bert as head of the household, that includes his wife Eloise, first daughter, 11 months old, and his father-in-law, W. G. Detwiller.  A second daughter was born in 1945.  At some point in time, the couple made their home in Sequim, Clallan, Washington.

Eloise died 26 Feb 1976, at the age of 61, in Sunnyside, Yakima, Washington.  Bert died 11 October 1985, at the age of 72, in Sequim.  Both are buried in the Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, Yakima, Washington.
