Notes:  Edgar Hoyer was born 23 Jul 1902 in Perth Amboy, Middlesex, New Jersey.  His parents Waldemar and Elna Hoyer had immigrated from Denmark in 1894.  His brother Waldemar was two years older.  In 1904, the family was living at 165 Elm Street, Perth Amboy.  That year his mother took Edgar and Waldemar to Denmark to visit relatives.  They returned to the Port of New York on 30 Nov 1904, sailing on the S.S. Hellig Olav.

In the 1910 U.S. census, the family was living at 378 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy.  When Edgar was 23 years of age, he traveled to Europe, presumably to visit Denmark.  He sailed 10 Jul 1926 from Southampton, England returning to the Port of New York on 16 Jul 1926 aboard the S.S. Mauretania.

In the 1930 U.S. census, Edgar was a boarder in the home of Frank and Paulin Bell, living at 1723 G Street in Washington D.C.  He was listed as being an auditor.

Edgar married Marianetta Riggles (Anita) on 18 Oct 1930.  In the 1940 U.S. census, they were living at 1309 Seneca Lane, Montgomery, Maryland.  Edgar was an accountant for a mixed concrete company, and earned 5,000.+ in 1939.  They owned their home valued at $5,715.  They had two sons, ages 6 and 3.

In later years Edgar lived at 12943 Dickeys Rd., Mercersburg, Pennsylvania [1982], 6896 and 6889 Arbor Ct, Frederick, Maryland [1992 - 1996], and 16505 Virginia Ave., Williamsport, Maryland [1998-1999].

Edgar's wife Anita died in 1993.  Edgar died 13 May 1998 in Williamsport, Maryland.  They are buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Maryland.
