Notes: Florence Myrtle Detwiller was born Jul 1909 in Brandon, Manitoba. She was the fourth child of Charles Detwiller and Martha May Brown. Her brother Gordon had been born in Mar 1904, sister Margarey in Oct 1905, and sister Margaret in Mar 1907. The family moved to Saskatchewan.

In the 1911 Canada census, the family was living in the Assiniboia District of Saskatchewan. Her father Charles was farming. Her sister Marion was born about 1911 and sister Dorothy about 1914. The family is found here in the 1916 Saskatchewan census and the 1921 Canada census.

Florence became a registered nurse, graduating from a school in Brandon, Manitoba.

Florence married Vernon Aaron Strome on 18 Jul 1936. They had a family of four children. Florence worked as a nurse in Watson, Saskatchewan. When the family moved to Humboldt, she worked at St. Mary's Villa. Vernon was a a lineman, finally working for the Saskatchewan Power Company(SPC).

In 1968, 1972, and 1974, Mrs. Florence Strome and Vernon Strome, SPC, were registered to vote in Humbolt, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Florence died 5 Jun 1978. Vernon died in 2001. Both are buried in the Humboldt Public Cemetery, Humboldt RM #370, Saskatchewan.
