Notes:  Eva Minerva Strome was born 20 Feb 1911 in Greenside, Humbolt, Saskatchewa, Canada.  She was the fifth child of Astor Sands Strome and Julia Maud Detwiller.  Her older sister Myrtle was born in 1900, her older brothers Wilford in 1902, Harvey in 1904, and older sister Bertha in 1909.

In the 1911 Canada census, Humbolt Twp., Saskatchewan, the family is enumerated on their homestead, on Sec. 32, Twp. 37, Range 19 W2, on the road to Englefeld.  Bertha's brother Nelson (Bud) was born in 1913, and brother Frank in 1915.  In the 1916 Saskatchewan census, Humbolt Twp., their farm (same) is identified as being in St. Peters Municipality.  Bertha's sister Minnie was born in 1917.  By the 1921 Canada census, her brother Harvey had left home.  Bertha's sister Dorothy was born in 1921, and brother James in 1926.

According to A History of Englefeld, 1903 - 1987, the family homestead was located at Greenside, and the children attended the Greenside School.

Eva married Howard Ritchie, also from the Greenside area, on 28 Mar 1933.  They moved to Lae Vert, Saskatchewan, where their first daughter was born.  Moving back to Greenside in 1935, her husband worked as a laborer and then for her father as a linesman.  Their second daughter was born here.  In 1940 they are listed in the Canada Voters Lists in Englefeld, Humbolt.  Her husband worked as a cobbler, and candled eggs.  They moved to Watson, Saskatchewan, where Howard worked in a lumber yard.  He is listed as an assistant agent in the Canada Voters Lists in 1945 in Watson.

Eva's husband Howard died 1 Jul 1946.  Eva continued to live in Watson.  Her death date, sometime after 1987, is unknown, and their burial place is unknown.
