Notes: Carl Peter Johnsen was born 4 Mar 1914 in Dallas County*, Texas. He was the oldest of three sons born to John Peter and Ida Mathilda Johnsen. His brother Walter was born in 1916 in Dallas County. By 1918 the family was living at 2395 Colliers Ferry Road, Jefferson County, Beaumont, Texas. His brother Edwin was born in 1919 in Jefferson County.

In the 1920 USA census, Carl's family was renting at 2395 Grand Avenue, Beaumont. His father Peter was a florist in a greenhouse. In the 1930 USA census, the family was living at 1594 Easy Street, Beaumont, and all three brothers were in school. Carl completed the 10th grade. His father was now the owner of a florist business. In the 1940 USA census, Carl was now 26 years and he and his brothers were all working as florists in the family business.

In 1941, Carl and Francis Carr had a daughter, Frances Carlyne Johnsen. She was born 6 Jul 1941 in Beaumont, Jefferson, Texas, and died 10 Nov 1942 in Houston, Harris, Texas. She is buried in the Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, Texas. Nothing more is known about the relationship or marriage, or how it ended.

Peter was President, Carl P. was Vice-President, Edwin A., Secretary. and Walter E., Treasurer.

Carl had various Beaumont addresses through the years. In 1952 his address was 1415 Lyle, Apt. 11, Beaumont. In 1954, he was at 1594 Easy Street, his childhood home, In 1960, he was at 1466 Emma, Beaumont.

Carl Peter Johnsen and Mary Margo Shelton were married on 5 Nov 1966, probably in Beaumont, Jefferson, Texas. He was 27 years older than she. They had one son, named Carl Peterson II. The couple divorced 13 Jul 1978. Nothing more is known about the marriage.
