Notes:  Adleen Craw was born 19 Feb 1897 in Minersville, Beaver, Utah.  She was the first surviving child of Hyrum (Howard) Nelson Craw and May Ellen Banks.  Family histories give her complete name as Sarah Adleen Craw.  This is found only on her headstone.  In the various records Adleen is misspelled more often than not.

In the 1900 U.S. census, the family was living on 2nd West Street in Minersville, Beaver, Utah.  Her father Hyrum was a day laborer.  Her mother had had six children, only Adleen living.

Two sisters, Charlotte and Therma, were born while the family was living in Utah.  In the 1910 U.S. census, the family was living in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.  Her father Howard was a stage driver.  Her brother Frank was born in 1914.  Her father died 3 Jan 1916 in Pioche.

Adeline Craw, 18, and Owen Walker, 21, of Pioche, applied for their marriage license in Lincoln County, Nevada on 15 Jan 1916.  According to family reports, they were married the next day, 16 Jan 1916, in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.  When her husband registered for the World War I draft in 1917, they were living in Pioche and had one child.  Owen was a stationery and mechanical engineer for the Nevada Coffee Co., in Bristol, Nevada.

In the 1920 U.S. census, Adeleen and Owen were living on Main Street, Pioche.  Owen was a stationery engineer for a silver mining company.  Their two children were Ellen and Owen.  In the 1930 U.S. census, Pioche, their family was complete, with the addition of Wanda, Audrey and William.  Owen was a laborer in the mining industry.

Sarah Adleen Craw Sarah Adleen Craw In the 1940 U.S. census, Pioche, Adleen and Owen had four children still living at home.  Owen was a waiter mechanic in a lead zinc mine, and their son Craw, now 20, was an underground miner.  They owned their own home, valued at $2,000.  Adleen had completed eighth grade.

Adleen's husband Owen died 16 Mar 1962 in North Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada.  Adleen died 6 Sep 1980 in Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada.  They are buried in the I.O.O.F. and Masonic Cemetery, Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.
