Notes:  According to family sources, Andrew Jackson Blad was born 7 Jan 1922 in Caliente, Lincoln, Nevada.  He was the sixth of eight children of Carl Levi Blad and Addie Minerva Hamblin.

In the 1930 U.S. census, Jack Blad, 8, was living with his family on a County Road in Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada.  The family owned their home, valued at $500.  His father Carl L. Blad, 43, was a salesman for a washing machine company.  His mother was 39, no occupation listed.  Their children were Phyllis M., 17, Genevier, 15, Jeane, 14, Carl, 12, Theda, 10, Jack, 8, Norman, 5, and Elaine, 1.  The oldest six children attended school.

In the 1940 U.S.census, Jack Blad, 18, was living with his sister Philis Lee, 27, and brother-in-law Lee Grant, 31, on a farm on 1st Street in Panaca Lincoln, Nevada.  Lee was the manager of a dairy farm, and Jack was an unpaid dairy farm laborer.  Also in the household was his brother Norman, 14, also an unpaid dairy farm worker.  This was the same house as in 1935, now renting for $15 a month.  Grant and Philis had completed four years of high school, Jack had completed three years, and Norman, one year.

In the U.S. WWII draft of young men, 30 June 1942, Andrew Jackson was living in Caliente, Nevada.  He was employed by Lee Dairy, and was described as 5'11", 150 lbs., light brown complexion, with brown hair and brown eyes.

According to family sources, Andrew Jackson Blad married Alda Mae Bradshaw on 19 May 1944 in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.  They had a family of four children.  Alda Mae Blad died 23 Mar 1927 in Las Vegas, Calrk, Nevada.  She was buried in the Panaca Memorial Park, Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada. Andrew Jackson Blad married Wanda Neukam in a religious ceremony in Los Vegas, Clark, Nevada on 5 May 1990.  This was the second marriage for both, their prior spouses having died.

In 1992 their address was 12005 Reynolds Ave., North Las Vegas.  In 1996 they were living at 112 Redstone St., Las Vegas.  Between 1999 and 2002 they had a residence in Caliente, Nevada.

Wanda died 22 Jan 1922 in Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada.  Services were held 27 Jan 2000 in the LDS Red Rock Stake Center.  Burial followed later in the day in the Pioche Public Cemetery, Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.

Andrew died 24 Jul 2011 in Hurricane, Washington, Utah.  Services were held 30 Jul 2011 at the Caliente LDS Chapel, Caliente, Nevada.  He was buried 30 Jul 2011 in the Panaca Memorial Park, Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada, next to his first wife Alda Mae
