Notes: Robert Alfred Miller, 23, and Ada Lucille Kirkbride, 29, were married 10 December 1944 in
Alhambra, California. The ceremony was held in the Little Stone Chapel of
Turner, Stevens and Turner, seen at the left. Bob's oldest sister
Frances sang,
two of his brothers, Al and Will, were groomsmen, and his youngest sister Ruth was the
flower girl. The Rev. Milton Weber of the First Presbyterian Church performed the ceremony.
At the time of their marriage, Bob was a material coordinator in steel fabrication
and engineering.
In the Spring of 1949, Bob and Lucille, pictured at the right, traveled to New
Jersey on a visit that included his relatives. In 1952, their daughter Linda Rae
was born. In 1954, they are seen, far right, at a park, probably in Culver City,
California where Bob's Uncle Herold Baldwin lived.
Unfortunately, the marriage ended shortly in divorce. |
