Notes: Frank Olson married Joanna Pouncey in 1955. This was his third marriage, and her
second marriage. Joanna had worked for the Olson Lumber Company for several years,
probably as a secretary. She was much younger than he, he being 70 years old,
and she being 31 years old. They made their home at 1041 Foothill Blvd., Arcadia,
which was built the year after their marriage. Frank died 1 Jul 1977, and
was buried in the San Gabriel Cemetery, San Gabriel,
California. Joanna married again in 1980 to Sanford Higginbotham.
Joanna died 12 Jan 2005.
Joanna's obituary lists a daughter with the Olson surname. This is her daughter
from her first marriage to Lee Sheets. The daughter was adopted by Frank Olson.
Joanna was buried with Frank in the San Gabriel Cemetery. The headstone was changed
to one for both of them, listing them as Dad and Mom. |
