They moved to the Vermont in 1924, which is David's immigration date to the United States.  In 1925 they were living at 300 Main Street, Burlington in Chittenden County.  In the 1930 USA census the couple was renting a home at 119 Mansfield Ave.  Around 1932 they are found living at 8 William.  Finally, about 1935, they moved to 12 Ledgemere Street, which became their long time residence.

At some point in time David began going by the name D. Vernon McNaught.  He was a New York Life Insurance agent.  Anna, who was a nurse, became the executive secretary for the American Red Cross.  The couple had no children.

In 1939, Anna's mother, Janet Dunlap Ichter, was visiting when she passed away.  About 1948, Jean E. Ichter, Anna's sister, came to live with them.  Jean was a nurse, and became a college professor at Vermont University.  In 1952, Jean moved to Bartlett Bay Road, South Burlington.  Where David and Anna were living between 1952 and 1958 is unknown.

In 1958, David and Anna moved in with Jean on Bartlett Bay Road.  Anna died 5 Apr 1965.  David died 4 Oct 1967.  Both are buried in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
