| Notes: Floyd Albert Donelson and Grace Marion Rushworth were married 29 Nov 1929
in the bride's home in Jamestown, Chautauqua, New York. In the 1930
Jamestown City Directory, they are listed as living at 49 Cameo Apts.,
Jamestown. Floyd was the Sec.-Asst.Treas. of the Donelson Trucking &
Storage Co., Inc., a family business. |
 In 1932, Floyd and Grace were living at 317 Hazard, Jamestown, and in 1934 at 75 Barrett.
Their son John Garfield Donelson was born 29 January 1936 in Jamestown. He is
seen with his father at right. In the
1940 U.S. census, the family is found at 75 Barrett Avenue. Both Floyd and
Grace had completed 4 years of college, and the family was renting the house for
$15.00 a month. In the 1946 Jamestown City Directory, Floyd and Grace
are listed as living at 69 Barrett Avenue, with his father. In the 1953
Jamestown City Directory, Floyd is listed as President of the family company
and Grace as Secretary.
Grace died 30 May 1992 in Jamestown, New York. Floyd moved to Atlanta, Georgia,
to live with their son. Floyd died 12 Jun 1993 in Atlanta, Georgia. Their
burial place is unknown. |
