Reed Murdoch Stewart, 22, and Ella Joanne Brown, 20, were married 9 Jun 1950 in the St. George
LDS Temple in St. George, Washington, Utah. They were honored at a reception the
following evening in San Bernardino, California. They had a family of seven children,
and made their first home in Hinckley, Millard, Utah. Joanne was a member of the
Coalesce Club and the newspaper reports many social events with their husbands.
On 9 Feb 1965, their home in Hinckley burned to the ground. At the time they were
living in Magna, Utah, Utah. Reed was employed by Hercules Industries, a manufacturer
and distributor of HVAC sheet metal, equipment and supplies. Their address for many years
was 3184 Jean St., Magna, a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah. They also resided in
Salt Lake City.
Ella Joanne Brown Stewart died 11 Jul 2013 at their home in Magna, Utah. Reed Murdoch
Stewart died at home in Magna on 12 Jul 2015. They are buried in the Valley View
Memorial Park, West Valley City, Salt Lake, Utah. |
