"Wedding Told At Nye Party".  Reno Evening Gazette (Reno, Nevada), Mon. 19 Nov 1934, p. 5, col. 3.

    TONOPAH, Nev., Nov. 19.--(Special).-- At a party given Thursday evening in Goldfield at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold McLeod announcement was made of the marriage of Miss Dorothy McLeod of Goldfield and William Walker of Tonopah and Goldfield.  Surprising their friends, the young couple were married Wednesday evening, November 14, at the Bowler home in Tonopah, Judge Walter Bowler performing the ceremony.  Witnesses to the ceremony were Miss Zora Maroni [sic], close friend of the bride, and Clem Walker, brother of the groom.

      The bride is the daughter of Mr. N.C. McCleod of Goldfield.  She attended the Goldfield schools and is popular among the younger folk of both Goldfield and Tonopah.  The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Walker of Pioche.  He has been engaged in mining in this vicinity for some time.  He is at present connected with the Pittsburg-Goldfield Mining Company in Goldfield, where he and his bride will make their home.
