Notes:  Elmer Clemons Walker, in later years known as Clem, was born 23 Oct 1909 in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.  He was the sixth child of Francis Clemens Walker, Jr., and Harriet Ellen Wadsworth.  His older siblings were Owen Francis, born in 1896, Harold Rumell in 1897, Eola in 1899, Faye in 1900, and Arville Lazell in 1902.

In the 1910 U.S. census, Elmer was living with his family in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.  His father Francis was a mechanical engineer.  The children were all in school except for Elmer, the baby.  His brother Earl Wadsworth was born in 1914, and sister Irene in 1919.

In the 1920 U.S. census, Pioche, Clemons, 10, was attending school.  His father Francis was a stationery engineer in a butcher shop.  His brother Rummell, 22, was a clerk in retail merchandise, and brother Arville, 17, was a stationery engineer in a silver mine.  Also at home were Earl, 5, and Irene, 4 months.

In the 1930 U.S. census, Pioche, the family was living on County Road.  His father was a deputy sheriff.  Clemons, 20, and his brother Harold, 32, were both stationery engineers in the mining industry; Earl, 17; and Irene, 11, were in school.

In 1935 Clemons was living in Tonapah, Nye, Nevada.  He married Zora Dorothy Moroney on 23 Jun 1935 in Goldfield, Esmeralda, Nevada.  The Goldfield columns in the Reno newspapers reported in summer of 1937 that Clem Walker, employed as a hoist engineer on the Pittsburg-Goldfield mine, had badly smashed his finger; that he had gone to Mountain City, Nevada, to accept a like position; and that instead he had gone to Pioche where he was employed.

In the 1940 U.S. census, Elmer C. and Zora were living on Highland Road in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada.  He was a hoisting engineer in a metal mine, and had earned $2,300. in 1939.  He had completed high school.  They were renting their residence for $25. per month, and had two children, Shirley and Clemons.  A third child was born after 1940.

Elmer Clemons died 22 Dec 1951 in Pioche.  He is buried in Panaca Memorial Park, Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada.
