Notes: Elmer Clemons Walker and Zora Dorothy Maroney were married on 23 Jun 1935 in Goldfield,
Esmeralda, Nevada. In the 1940 U.S. census, Zora and Elmer were living on Highland Road in Pioche,
Lincoln, Nevada. Elmer was a hoisting engineer in a metal mine. Both had completed high school
and they were renting their residence for $25. per month. They had two children, Shirley and
Clemons. The family must have moved about before settling in Pioche, as their first child was
born in Nevada and the second in Utah. A third child was born after the 1940 U.S. census.
Elmer died 22 Dec 1951 in Pioche. He is buried in Panaca Memorial Park,
Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada.
Zora married Willard Leroy Sainsbury in 1972. Willard died in 1989. Zora died 28 Nov 2002 in
Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada. She is buried with her first husband Elmer in
Panaca Memorial Park. |
