Thomas Eagar
      ST. GEORGE -- Thomas Eagar, 73, died of a heart ailment Feb 19 at a St. George hospital.  Born April 23, 1898, Eagar, Ariz., to Joe S. and Nancy Alice Nutter Hinton Eagar.  Married Vera Hinton, Sept.25, 1918, St. George LDS Temple.  Former Hurricane, Washington County treasurer, farmer, prospector.
      Survivors:  widow; sons, daughters, Delwin Thomas, Ogden; Mrs. Rex (Barbara) Dutton, Mrs. Henry (Melba) Empey, both St. George; Mrs. Hal (Lena) Merrill, Tulsa, Okla; Mrs. Raymond (Nedra) Kemple, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Covinton, Lillian Roundy, both Hurricane; Mrs. Leland (Hazel) Bringhurst, Toquerville, Washington County; half-brothers, Frank Eagar Leeds, Washington County; Walter Eagar, St. George.
      Funeral Tuesday, 1:30 p.m., St. George 2nd LDS Ward Chapel.  Friends may call Spilsbury-Graff Mortuary, St. George, Monday, 7-8 p.m. and from noon until services Tuesday.  Burial, Hurricane City Cemetery.

Vera H. Eagar
      ST. GEORGE -- Vera Hinton Eagar, 77, St. George, died Jan. 8, 1977, in St. George of natural causes.
      Born Aug 14, 1899, Hinckley, Millard County, to Thomas Maurice and Wilhelmina Walker Hinton.  Married Thomas Eagar, Sept.25, 1918, St. George LDS Temple.  He died.  Active member LDS church.
      Survivors:  daughters, son, Mrs. Rex (Barbara E.) Dutton, Mrs. Henry (Melba E.) Empey, both St. George; Mrs. Howe (Lana E.) Merrill, Tulsa, Okla; Mrs. Raymond (Nedra E.) Kemple, Hayden Lake, Idaho; Delwin Thomas, Crystal Lake, Ill.; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, brother, Mrs. Frank (Alma) Cole, Nephi; Mrs. Tim (Lela) Hoyt, Hurricane, and Mrs. Harris (Lucille) Gubler, Bountiful..
      Funeral services, Wednesday, 2 p.m., St. George LDS Ward Chapel.  Friends may call Wednesday, Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary, St. George, two hours before services.  Burial, Hurricane City Cemetery.
