Notes:  Adele Slack was born 23 Sep 1905 in Toquerville, Washington, Utah.  She was the third of six children of Walter Herbert Slack and Adalaide Martha Jackson.  She had five older half siblings from her father's first marriage to Mary Eleanor Bringhurst.
In the 1910 U.S. census, Adele, 4, was living with her parents, Walter E. Slack, 31, and Adeliade, 41, in Toquerville, Washington, Utah.  Her father was a farmer, and the home was mortgaged.  Her half-siblings were Selinda, 19, Irma, 17, Walter H., Jr., 14, and Nellie, 10.  Her full siblings were Rilley L., 8, Harold E., 6, Lulu A., 2, and Francis M., 6 months.

In the 1920 U.S. census, Adele, 14, was living with her parents, Walter H. Slack, 51, and Adaide, 51, on the farm on State Road in Toquerville, Washington, Utah.  Her father was now the Post Master and their home was mortgaged.  Her half-brother Walter H., 24, and brother Riley L., 18, were laborers on the home farm.  Her other siblings at home were Harold C., 16, Liola A., 12, Francis M., 10, and Glen J., 8.

Adele Slack married James Rapheal Bunker on 26 Feb 1928 in the St. George Temple, St. George, Utah.  In the 1930 U.S. census, Adele S. Bunker, 25, and her husband James R., 25, were living in Veyo, Washington, Utah.  James was a laborer doing odd jobs.  They had one son, James D. 1¾.

In the 1940 U.S. census, Adell Bunker, 34, and James, 35, were still in Veyo, Washington, Utah.  James was now a farmer, working on his own account with an income of $400. plus other income.  They owned their home, valued at $1000.  Adele had completed 4 years of high school and had completed 2 years of high school.  Their family had grown, and included James Darrel, 11, 4th grade, Beverly, 9, 3rd grade, and Katherine, 7, 1st grade.  A daughter, Adele, had died at childbirth in 1934.

In the 1950 U.S. census, Adell Bunker, 44, and James R., 45, were living at 100 South 300 West, St. George, Washington, Utah.  James was listed as an automobile salesman with his own business.  Their children at home were Katherine, 17, Garth, 7, and Carma L., 5.

Adele Bunker died at home on Thursday, 24 Feb 1966, after a lingering illness.  Funeral services were held Monday, Feb 28, 1966 at the St. George Second Ward Chapel.  She was buried in the St. George City Cemetery.
