The children at home included Walter H., 24, and Riley L., 18, both working as laborers on the farm; Harold C., 16,
Adele, 14, Llola, 12, Francis M., 10, and Glen J. 8, all attending school.
In the 1930 U.S. census, Walter H. Slack, 61, and Adelaide M. Slack, 61, were living on the West Side of Main Street,
Toquerville, Washington, Utah. Their home was owned , valued at $3,000., and they did not have a radio set.
Walter was a general farmer with employees. Still at home were Riley L., 28, and Francis M., 20, both
working on road building. Also in the home was Oliver Slack, 69, Walter's brother.
Adelaide died 14 Jan 1937 at their home in Toquerville of Uremia following Pneumonia. She was buried in
the Toquerville Cemetery on 16 Dec 1937.
