LeRoy Walker and Lucy Anderson were married on 10 Jul 1914 in the Manti LDS Temple, Manti, Sanpete, Utah.
They had both grown up in Oak Creek. In the 1920 U.S. census, Leroy Walker, 28, and Lucy A., 32, were living
in Southerland, Millard, Utah. Leroy was a farmer, and their home was rented. Their children were
Helen, 4, and Don DeVere, 2. In the 1930 U.S. census, Leroy Walker, 38, and Lucy, 43, were living in Huntington, Emery, Utah. They were renting their home for $20., and had a radio set. LeRoy was a cook, working in a high school. Their children were Helen, 14, Don, 12, and Junior, 9. In the 1940 U.S. census, LeRoy Walker, 49, and Lucy, 53, were living at North 100 West, in St. George, Washington, Utah. They owned their home, valued at $3,000. LeRoy had completed four years of college, and was an Educational Advisor, for C.C.C., earning $1559. Lucy had completed 1 year of high school. Their son, Junior LeRoy, 19, had completed four years of high school, was a laborer for the Forest Service, and had earned $390. On 27 Apr 1942, when Leroy registered for the "Old Mens" WWII Draft, their address was Clearfield R.D. #1, Clearfield, Davis, Utah. He was working for the U. S. War Department at the Utah General Depot in Ogden, Weber, Utah. In the 1950 U.S. census, Leroy Walker, 58, and Lucy, 62, were living on East Campbell Heights, in Clearfield, Davis, Utah. Leroy was teaching industrial arts in a high school. He was also a coach. Lucy Anderson Walker died 6 Apr 1958 of breast cancer after a lingering illness. At this time they were living back in Oak City, and she was buried in the Oak City Cemetery, Oak City, Millard, Utah. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
