Notes: Ernest was born and registered with the name Edward Bridge Catt; however, he was referred to as Ernest Catt in all subsequent source records. His birthdate was 3 Apr 1886 in his birth registration document, but 6 Apr 1886 in the 1901 Canada Census.

Ernest never married. He lived on the family farm in Bosanquet for his entire life. He was 83 years old at the time of his death. The pallbearers at his Forest funeral were grand-nephews Dick O'Hara, Norm Whitehead, Ron Evans, Harold Catt, Howard Stewart, and Mason McDonald.
