Notes:  Toni Walker was born 24 Dec 1946 in St. George, Washington, Utah.  She was the second of six children of Junior Leroy Walker and Aileen Worthen.  In the 1950 U.S. census, Toni, 3, was living with parents, J. Leroy Walker, 29, and Aileen W. Walker, 30, in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington.  Her father was stationed there in the U.S. Army.  Her siblings were Joe L., 7, and Lawrence D., 3.

Because her father was in the Army, Toni lived in California, Oklahoma, Kansas, New York, Virginia, Washington, Japan, France, and Germany.  She attended high school in Paris and then graduated in Mannheim, Germany.  She attended LDS Business College, Dixie College, and BYU.  She later studied in Washington State, in Italy, and at Cambridge University in London.  Her dream from age 16 was to become a trial lawyer.

Toni Walker, 20, appears in the 1966 Yearbook of Dixie College, St. George, Utah.  The photo description reads "from Mannheim, Germany".  On 13 Aug 1966, Toni married Garth Bunker in the St. George Temple, St. George, Utah.  They had two daughters:  Their first daughter was born in Salt Lake City, and their second daughter was born in Mountain View, California.  She put her husband through school by doing sectarial work, and stayed home with the children.  The eight year marriage ended in divorce in Apr 1974 in Contra Costa County, California.
Toni worked for 15 years in the Mathematics Department of the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah.  This is where she received her Bachelor degree in Psychology in 1990.

Moving to California, Toni worked as the Management Services Officer and Network Administrator in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California at Irvine (UCI) from November 1990 until her death in September 1997.  She was the co-chair of the Staff Assembly Scholarship Committee at UCI.

While working full time at UCI, Toni spent four years going to law school in the evenings and on weekends.  She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Western States University's College of Law in 1996.

On 12 Sep 1997, without warning, Toni suffered a heart attack while at work at UCI and never regained consciousness.  A memorial service was held in Costa Mesa on Tuesday, 16 Sep 1997, and she was buried with a short service on Thursday, 18 Sep 1997 in the St. George City Cemetery, St. George, Utah.
