| Notes:  Junior Leroy Walker and Aileen Worthen were married on 25 Dec 1941 in St. George, Washington,
Utah.  The marriage took place in her parents home, with her father officiating.  The ceremony took
place after the family Christmas dinner and they left for an unknown honeymoon destination.  The two
families lived just a short way apart in St. George.  Roi went back to Ogden, working at the
Ogden Ordinance Depot, and Aileen stayed in the Rockville community teaching school. Their marriage was solemnized 19 May 1942 in the St. George Temple. On 22 Apr 1943, J. Leroy enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Commissioned Officer. He was released 5 Jun 1946, but after a short period as a civilian, he reenlisted and served for another 26 years. In the 1950 U.S.census, J. Leroy Walker, 29, and Aileen W., 30 were living in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington, where he was serving in the Army.  Their children were Joe L., 7, Toni, 3, and Lawrence D., about 10 months. Three more children, Leslie, Lynn and Jerri, were to be added to the family. Over the years, the family lived in California, Oklahoma, Kansas, New York, Virginia, Washington, Panama, Japan, France, and Germany. During their lifetime Roi and Aileen were both active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They served an 18 month full-time mission in the Australia Perth Mission from 1987-1988. Upon their retirement, they made there home at 425 S 900 E, Orem, Utah County, Utah. Aileen died 12 Oct 2004 in Orem. The marriage had lasted 74 days short of a 63rd anniversary in mortality. Roi died 28 Jul 2008. They are buried in the Orem City Cemetery, Orem, Utah, Utah. Their headstone celebrates Aileen's lifetime of music, and Roi's lifetime of world wide travel. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
