Toni Walker
Toni Walker       COSTA MESA, Calif.  —  Without warning, Toni suffered a heart attack while at work at the University of California Irvine and never regained consciousness.  She was actively involved in a number of projects and special assignmnets, with numerous commitments for the near future.
      Her position of Management Services Officer/Network Administrator in the Department of Mathematice since November 1990 was expanded in many ways following her receiving her Juris Doctorate from Western States University College of Law in May 1996.  This she had accomplished in four years while working full time in the department.
      Toni was born in St. George on Dec. 24, 1946, the second child of J. LeRoy  and  Aileen Worthen Walker.  She married Garth Bunker in the St. George LDS Temple Aug 13, 1966 and they later divorced.  She has two daughters:  Nicole, born in Salt Lake City and Jennifer born in Mountain View, Calif.
      In addition to cherished years with grandparents Vernon and Lorna Worthen in St. George, Toni has lived in states California, Oklahoma, New York, Virginia, Washington, and Countries Japan, France and Germany.
      Her schools included high school in Paris and then graduation in Mannheim, Germany.  She attended LDS Business College, Dixie College, BYU and graduated from the University of Utah.  In addition to the aforementioned law school, she also studied in Washington state one summer, in Italy and at Cambridge University in London.
      She is survived by her two daughters, her parents, two brothers:  Walker of Glendora, Calif., Lawrence Walker of Blue Ridge, Tenn.; three sisters:  Les Tomlinson of White Sands Missile Range, N.M., Lynne Newton and Jerri Sume, both of West Jordan, and 31 nieces and nephews.
      A memorial service was held Thursday in Costa Mesa, Calif., and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 in the St. George Cemetery where a short service will be held with family and friends.
      Local arrangements were under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
