Notes:  In August 1870, Amanda was 3 years old and living at Martinez, California, with her parents, her twin sister Minerva, and two younger siblings.

In June 1880, Amanda was 14 years old and attending school at Reno, Nevada, while living with her parents and seven siblings.

In July 1886, Amanda held the position of teacher at the Pyramid Reservation while living with her new husband on the Indian reservation near Carson City, Nevada.

Amanda passed on at the age 26 shortly after the birth of her third son.  Her life of late had been one of suffering after the best efforts of human skill had failed.  She struggled hard for life, out of love for her husband and children, and courageously endured the pains of surgical operatings for their sake.  By will alone she sustained the fading taper of life until her husband should reach her bedside, and then could only give him a parting pressure of the hand.  Amanda's mother arrived in time to attend the funeral.  The beautifull offerings of flowers from many friends were evidence of the esteem in which Amanda was held.
