Notes:   Sharon Dianne Martin Sharon Dianne Martin Sharon Dianne Martin Since Sherry's mother was an avid skier, Sherry and her brothers spent many hours on the snow-covered slopes of California's Sierra Nevada mountains.

Sherry did not graduate from high schoool because she married about halfway through her senior year.  Prior to her marriage she lived on Hedgeside Avenue in Napa, California, with her mother Helen.  She completed her high school education later by taking courses at a community college to make up the units needed — plus she earned an AS degree.

Sherry divorced her husband after six years, and then married him again three years later.  (See their Relationship Record for more detail.)

Sherry was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 302 in Pleasant Hill/Martinez.  She joined the electrical apprenticeship program when she was about 40 years old.  Prior to that her work was in electronics.

Sherry also became involved with Habitat for Humanity prior to her family's move from Napa to Oroville, California, in 2003.  She encouraged her husband to become involved and they both became board members for Habitat for Humanity of Chico or Butte County.

Sherry an active member of the Unity Church.  She enjoyed visiting friends and family, whether it was several days or just for lunch.

The majority of the last year of her life was spent remodeling her family's house.  The prior structure was completely gutted and the square footage was approximately doubled.  Sherry and her husband did much of the work themselves and Sherry was the electrician — planning and installing all the electrical wiring.  The house was nearly complete and awaiting the final inspection when she passed on.
