Notes:  *Birth date conflict:  The State of California California Birth Index, 1905-1995 reports Joe's birthdate to be 2 May 1915; however, his obituary gives his birthdate as 12 May 1915. Joe Sr. and Basilia wanted to name a son after his father, but their earlier son Joseph had died.  So they named this, their 11th and last child, Joseph.  He was probably born within the city limits of Napa. Joe Jr. attended St. John's Catholic School.  The 1926 photo at the left shows Joe and his brother Bill and the third Imboden home in Napa. In 1938 Joe married Dorothy Keller.  During World War II he worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard at Vallejo. In 1946 Joe started a well pump business:  Imboden Pump.  He retired in 1980 and sold the business. The 1994 photo at the right shows Joe with Pete and Susie Imboden. Joe was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West Napa Parlor — and in 2010 he received his 50-year pin.  He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Joe lived in Idaho with his daughter and son-in-law during his last four years.  They took good care of him and probably extended his life.  Joe passed away in 1014 at the age of 99.
