Notes:  Charles arrived in the United States in the early 1880s and became a naturalized citizen in 1892.  He was 46 years old in 1913 when he married Selma who was then 30. In 1930 and 1940 Charles owned and he and his family lived in a residence on Grolton Road in Turlock, California.  It was valued at $1,000.00 in 1940. The 1942 photo at the right shows Charles holding Karen Youngquist, his first grandchild.  Karen's parents Vincent and Signa are behind Charles. Charles passed on in 1954 at the age of 86¼.
