Notes: Will and Rebecca began their married life in Carroll County, Arkansas, in
March 1897. They moved frequently as they followed work opportunities
in the Arkansas-Missouri-Oklahoma tri-state area. Their daughter Alta was
born in Oklahoma in January 1898. Their daughter Bess was born in Golden,
Missouri, in January 1900. By June 1900 they were back in Carroll County,
Arkansas. Daughter Ruby was born in Oklahoma in July 1903.
Their son Roy was born in Indian Territory, Oklahoma, in September 1906.
The photo at the left shows the three daughters (Bess, Ruby, and Alta)
probably early in 1906. Alta died shortly thereafter in 1906 or
1907. The photo at the right shows Bess, Ruby, and Roy circa 1910,
probably taken at Noble Town, Oklahoma.
Bess, Ruby, and Roy then went to California's Imperial Valley
following the 1910 split-up of their parents. This move was
probably before July 1914. |
