Notes: In August 1943 William Joseph resided with his second wife, Bessie, at 158 Nelson Street in
Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Bessie was 16 when her first son was born. The photograph
at the left shows William Joseph with his new son, William Charles, in 1944.
They had ten children, all of whom are shown in the photo at the right — which was taken about 1960.
Unfortunately, William Joseph became an alcoholic — making life for his wife
and children very difficult. Because of this, son William Charles (Bill) left
home early and went to live with his maternal grandmother,
Lily Bellivean.
The photo at the left shows the eight surviving children in 1999 at Debbie's funeral. |
