      Mrs. George W. Samuels, whose home for many years was in Cherry Valley, but who had lived in Napa for some time past, breathed her last shortly before five o'clock this morning at the family residence on North street in this city.
      Mrs. Samuels had been ill for over a year and her demise did not come unexpectedly.
      Deceased was a native of Nebraska, aged 48 years.
      Besides her husband, G. W. Samuels, these children survive to mourn her untimely loss: Walter R. Samuels, Mrs. Clyde A. Land, Mrs. Walter H. Buck, Mrs. Guy E. Butler, Mrs. Wilfred Hancock, Mildred Samuels and Osmond L. Samuels, all of Napa.
     The funeral will be held at one o'clock from D. S. Kyser's undertaking parlors on Tuesday afternoon and will be conducted privately.
