| Notes:  Mern and Mary Noble moved into this house between 1923 and 1926.  Mern was the original owner,
but in 1932, Mary was added to the deed as a joint tennant.  The
photograph to the right was taken after a rare snow fall in 1949.
In April 1930, the census shows that Nellie Noble, a niece of Mern and Mary,
was living with them.  Nellie was probably just visiting from North Dakota.
In April 1940, it was just Marion and Mary living in the household.
About 1947, their sister Amy Olson moved into the household, and an additional
bedroom was added to the back of the house.  Marion died in 1949.
In the 1950 U.S. census, Mary A. Noble, 72, and Amy N. Olson, 69, were living alone in the
home.  Bena Dean, another sister, lived with them for a short time after the death of
her husband Will Dean.  Mary died in 1967, and Amy continued to live in the house until her
                                  final illness.

The house had a living room with a dining room at the back.  The dining room
opened up to a large covered porch that was later screened.  To the left of
the dining room was a kitchen, with a small breakfast nook.  There was a
service porch and a basement.  The hallway to the right of the living room led to
Mary's room in the front, and Mern's room in the back.  Each of the bedrooms had
their own separate entrance.  A bathroom was in the middle, off the hallway.
The room for Amy (seen at left) was built behind Mern's and a curtain separated
                                  the bedroom spaces.
The lot was deep, and there was a two-car garage at the end of a narrow driveway.
Among the trees were a Hachiya persimmon and a plum.
