Notes: This was the residence of Ludwig and Caroline Opid in the 1930 U.S. census. Ludwig
was listed as a musician in an orchestra. They owned their residence, which was
worth $5,000. and had a radio. Their daughter Stephanie was 19 years old.
All three are listed in the Los Angeles City Directory at this address
In the 1940 U.S. census, the family included Stephanie's husband, Edward Cyril Holton.
Ludwig, age 74, was no longer working. The house was valued at $4,000. The
photograph to the right shows the residence today. It was built in 1922 and has
