Notes: According to family records, Marian Campbell was born in Scotland. Her parents were Alexander Campbell and Marion Morrison. Her name is sometimes listed in records as Mary Ann. It is not known when Marion immigrated to Canada.

About 1933, Marion married Christian Detwiller, a farmer, about 1833. Their first farm was located in the Township of Waterloo, Perth, described as 180 acres on Lot 127 on the East side of the Grand River. It was located about 2 miles north of Hespler, and the residence sat next to a lake. Their first two children may have been born here.

In 1851, Marion was living with her husband and 8 children on a farm in the community of Motherwell, Fullarton Twp., Perth. It is unknown when Marion died. However, she does not appear in the 1861 census with the family, and her husband is listed as a widower. She was probably buried in St. Marys Town Cemetery.
