Notes:  Raymond C. Olson was born 8 Jul 1911 in Los Angeles, California.  His parents were George Olson and Ida Green.  He had an older brother Angus, and a twin brother Larry.  Angus died early of polio, and his parents divorced.  His father George remarried about 1918.  In 1920, Raymond and Larry were living with their mother in Miami, Arizona.  Ida was a barber and took in boarders.  In 1930, the family was living in El Centro, California.  Ida was still working as a barber in a barber shop, and Raymond and Larry, now 19 years old, were working in the packing sheds.  Ida's mother, Victoria Green, was living with the family, as well as one boarder.

Raymond married Itha Faulkner about 1934. According to family sources, they had one daughter and two sons.  In 1937, they are found living in Alhambra, California.  Raymond was a millman for the Alhambra Sash and Door Co.  By 1939, they had moved to Wilmar, and he was working as a millman for the Olson Lumber Company, owned by his uncle Frank Olson.  He later worked as a cabinetmaker for J M Anslinger and Son.

On 15 Jan 1945, Raymond enlisted as a private in the U.S. Army at Port MacArthur in San Pedro.  He had one year of high school, was a cabinetmaker, and was married.  It is not known how long he served.  Some time after 1949, he and Itha divorced.

Raymond married Amy Cecelia Barnes on 15 Dec 1964, in Orange County.  He was 53 years old and she was 43 years old.  In 1987, they were living in Anaheim, California, and attended the 80th Birthday party of Donald Olson, his cousin.  His wife Amy died in 1993 in San Diego County.  They were probably living in Murietta, Riverside at the time, as this was her last residence.

Olson cousins In 1994, Raymond attended the 50th Wedding anniversary party of his cousin Don and his wife in Arcadia, California.  He is shown with his cousins in the photograph to the left.  Raymond died 2 Dec 2000, in Stockton, San Joaquin, California.  His burial place is unknown.
