Notes:  Margie Kate Finlinson was born 25 Oct 1904 in Leamington, Millard, Utah.  She was the third child of William Jefferson Finlinson and Mary Olive Walker.  Her older siblings were Leda, born in 1900, and Welby, 1903.  Melva Afton was born in 1906.

In the 1910 U.S. census, Margie was living with her family on a farm in Leamington, Millard, Utah.  No occupation was listed for her father William, for he had his own income.  The children were Leda, 9, Welby, 6, Margie K., 5, and Melba A., 3.  The oldest two attended school.

In the 1920 U.S. census, Margie's family was still on a farm in Leamington.  Her father William was a general farmer, farming on his own account.  The children were Leda, 19, a school teacher, Welby, 16, in school, Margie K., 15, in school, Afton M., 13, in school, Walker W., 7, in school, Nardia O., 4, and George T., 7 months.

Margie married Leslie George Walker on 4 Jun 1924 in Juab County, Utah.  They were married in the LDS temple in Salt Lake City on 5 Jun 1924.  In the 1930 U.S. census, Margie and her husband Leslie were were living in Lynndyl, Millard, Utah.  They owned their house, located West of Main Street, valued at $1,500.  They did not own a radio set.  Leslie was a boiler washer for the railroad company.  They had two daughters, Kleis, 5, and Udene, 1, both born in Utah.  The family moved to Idaho in 1934.

Margie is listed with her husband Leslie in the Pocatello, Idaho, City Directory, 1936, living at 657 N. Grant Avenue.  In the 1940 U.S. census, they are listed at this same address.  Leslie was a crane operator for the Union Pacific Railroad.  Margie was engaged in housework at home, and had completed three years of high school.  Their daughters were Kleis, 15, and Udene, 11.  The 1946 and 1949 Pocatello directories list their address at 521 E. Dunn Street.  By 1965, they had moved to Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.

In the Salt Lake City, Utah, City Directory, 1965, Margie and Leslie are listed at 335 E. 3d South, Apt 202.  Leslie was now a supervisor for the Union Pacific Railroad.  By 1970, he had retired.  They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in June 1974 with a party in Salt Lake City.

According to her obituary, Margie was employed by Cordon's Pie Company in Pocatello for many years, and then worked as a seamstress and presser for Finer Cleaners.  She enjoyed handicrafts, sewing and quilting.  She was a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints, holding several positions and doing temple work.

Margie died on 27 Sep 1994 in a local health care center in Pocatello, Bannock, Utah.  Services were conducted 30 Sep 1994 at the Caldwell Park LDS Ward Chapel, Pocatello, Bishop Larry Fisher officiating.  She was buried in the Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello, Utah.
